YELLOW BRICK ROAD

YELLOW BRICK ROAD is a passion project of an imaginary Music Festival, to which I wish was real and one that I could attend. The name and theme revolves around Elton Johns 1973 album, Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road, which is clear is the primary inspiration. 

 

The festival would have taken place in 1973 after the release of the album and will be at the Land of Oz theme park located in North Carolina which had just opened in 1970. The atmosphere will revolve around OZ and the various styles of Elton John, who is the primary focus of the festival. Popular bands and musicians during that period will be also playing.

 

The physical poster was created using the layered paper method, out of card-stock and poster board. Everything was hand cut. The size is 24" x 36".
